Recently, I've been so busy at college in a new town. It has been very difficult keeping up with my family and friends back home. I have made some new friends, but a lot of the time, I need to keep myself company as I work on homework, work at my job, and relax at my apartment or a local coffee shop. I took this picture in JavaCat, one such coffee shop in Emporia, that has a lot of quirky decorations. I chose this place for two reasons. The first reason is that I love to stop by to talk to some friends and buy a cup of coffee. However, I mainly chose this place because it seems so colorfully vibrant, active, and happy. When I placed myself within the piece, I chose to act like I'm happy as I have conversation with four other "mes." However, it's all lacking personal, human interaction. None of the figures in the piece are looking towards the camera to make the viewer feel excluded.

I really enjoy the contrast you added along with the lights and shadows, it really brings emphasis to the figures. Along with this, I like how your figures are interacting with one another to further convey your message.

I think this image is well done, I do however wish there was more interaction between the figures.
